It has been a bit longer than normal since the last update and there is much to tell. As previous updates clearly recounted, the Muslim month of Ramadan ended with many thousands of people having become followers of Jesus, the true Messiah. Among multitudes of Muslim people today there is a great craving to know the real truth. In the Middle East hundreds of thousands of people are being slaughtered in the name of religion. When the truth of the great love of God for them is presented to them, they do not take long to take the step of faith and pray a prayer of repentance, acknowledging that the real God is a loving God that does not desire for anyone to perish. It reminds me of a passage of Scripture in Ephesians 1:13-14:

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

The prophet Joel spoke of the multitudes in the valley of decision. This is the case all over the world today. Our world is becoming increasingly chaotic and most people across the world are living in fear of what is coming. Most know that the Biblical Apocalypse is now right at the door. There is only one answer and it was clearly put by the Messiah Himself when He said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father except through me.”

I have a story to share this week that I pray will move each reader as it did me when I received the details by phone. This front line account involved the “Widow Sisterhood” that most readers have become well acquainted with by now. Mofidah and three of her widows were out in a war zone ministering to the needs of the great many injured. While they were treating badly injured people and cauterizing their wounds and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with them and praying with them for their salvation, a seriously injured man who had been watching from not very far away pulled a gun out and fired four shots, hitting four of the women. As I was given to understand over the phone, two of the women were hit in the legs, one took a bullet in the back and the fourth somewhere in the stomach or abdomen! This of course dropped all four of the women to the ground. One of the women shot was Mofidah herself! It quickly became apparent  that the shooter had only had four bullets in his gun. The Lord spoke to Mofidah at that moment and told her that they were to go and help this man, and to do it immediately!

The Lord never asks us to do anything that He does not provide us the strength to do, and this is what God did in this story as well. The injured women gritted their teeth and put their faith to work, forcing themselves to get themselves over the where their injured attacker was located. The man immediately expressed great fear because they were now in a position of being able to do him great harm. After assuring him that they intended him no harm but only wanted to help him, he immediately protested, saying: “Why do you want to help me? I wanted and tried to kill all of you! I am unworthy of your help. I am a very bad man!”

Mofidah answered and said, “I want to tell you about the Kingdom!”

“What kingdom?” he asked.

Mofidah and the three injured women with her then told him that they would tell him all about the Kingdom of God. They would also help him by treating his injuries, but he really needed to become acquainted with the real Messiah who loved him so much that he was willing to die on the cross 2,000 years ago so that he could live eternally in His heaven. This man then allowed the women to share the story with him. He then bowed before the One who gave His life for him on the cross. Many tears of repentance were shed that day. The widows also treated his injuries and then prayed for him. God not only brought this man into His family of believers that day, but also healed him completely!

After taking care of their attacker, Mofidah and her three godly warriors ministered to each other, removing the bullets, treating the wounds, cauterizing them, and went to where they had a little time to recuperate. They are healing although not quite as quickly as the man they ministered to.

When I heard this story, the Lord spoke to my heart immediately and said that this was a perfect example of the passage of Scripture found in Luke 10:27:

You shall love the LORD your God with all our heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.

This is exactly what these brave women did. They proved their unlimited love for their Lord and Master, caring little for their own condition, but rather obeying Him by immediately going to the aid of the man that shot all four of them. Even though he had meant them harm, they were willing to pay whatever price necessary to help him. So, they not only loved the Lord God with everything within them; heart, mind, soul, and strength, but their neighbor as themselves as well! He was their neighbor even though he had tried to kill them. Now, he has not only experienced the great love and forgiveness of the four widows he intended to murdert, but also the eternal forgiveness of his sins by the Messiah as well. Not only that, Jesus healed him of his injuries so that he can learn about the Word of God and then go about the business of bringing more souls into the Kingdom of God!

This same commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ that these four widows showed is the commitment of every single House of Blessing missionary. It is this commitment and dedication to Jesus that brought about so many new believers during Ramadan, 2015. Right after Ramadan ended, the leadership of HOB divided up all of the new believers into small groups among the missionaries so that they can quickly be trained and taught. It is so important to know the Word of God in order to be able to share it accurately with others. The Lord has made it possible for HOB to gather the new believers in locations all over the Middle East. They provide them one small meal per day and teach them diligently for four or five hours each day. There are not many Bibles to distribute because of the large number of new believers but what Bibles they have they give out. HOB is also printing out mass copies of teachings for each missionary so that they can teach the new believers about Faith, about what makes Jesus so unique, the Blood of Jesus, Intimacy with God, and much more that is so important for each believer to know. These folks are very excited and very, very eager to learn!

One additional thing that I need to mention. Most of the new believers are men. These men, now that they have committed themselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, are going to go out and reach their entire families and most of their friends! What a great harvest of souls is in the making!

For over three years now I have written these updates and have heard from many of you about your faithfulness in steadfast prayer and support for House of Blessing and their dedicated volunteer missionaries. We must not stop now. I have never had such an urgency about the imminence of the Day of the Lord. The world is on the precipice of the Apocalypse, or Great Tribulation. Time has almost run out now. Here is a question that I have asked many for a few years now, but never with more urgency than today: If you knew there were only days left until that great horn is blown and the voice of God calls us up to meet Him in the clouds, how would it change what you do and how you live? Would it change? What would you do with what you have left of the fleeting moments of this age? How would your priorities change? This is something for us to answer today…not tomorrow! There are not many ticks left on the clock before it hits the midnight hour. Luke 21:31-36 records a strong warning given by Jesus Himself when answering his disciple’s question of the future. He gives them a long listing of future events and then says this:

…So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

This is a strong warning for none of us to allow anything to take priority over the call of God in our lives, especially as we see the day approaching of His return to resurrect those of His that have died and gather those who are still alive from the face of this earth and up into His presence just before He begins judgment on this rebellious planet. We find this wonderful promise in 1 Thessalonians 5:

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and  safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Knowing that we are at the very threshold of being called home, let’s run the last lap of life’s race well. The opportunity is before us to do so. Let’s also pray and support those who are on the front lines of this war. Not one of HOB’s missionaries know if they will live another day.

Below is a link to an article about a mass kidnapping in the Mideast, including at least 60 Christians. These are things they are continually facing in the Middle East. We must keep our brethren in urgent prayer!
