It has been longer than normal since I wrote my last Mideast Update. I base my updates on the current news I receive through Pastor R in Syria. He has been taken around to the innumerable communities of Christian believers all around the Damascus region and even further in the last three weeks or so. As regular readers will know, Pastor R was able by the leading of the Holy Spirit to cross over the border into Lebanon a couple weeks ago. In fact, Sister Sarah was in the border area between Syria and Lebanon as well. All of the House of Blessing missionaries follow the leading of the Spirit of God so that the work that they have been called to do can be completed.
As it turns out, much of the area where Pastor R has been ministering does not have sufficient cell phone reception for him to be able to call out—or it is too dangerous. Today, I believe he made two attempts to get through to me but the connection never was completed. So, I decided to go ahead and write an update anyway and share some things that are very pertinent for the day and time we live in today…and, of course, they affect everything HOB missionaries do, and also every other true believer in Jesus Christ, the soon coming Messiah.
I have spent a great deal of time thinking back to the awesome things God has done through the House of Blessing in the last 5+ years. What amazing demonstrations of the Presence of God with these faithful HOB missionaries–many of them now in the presence of their Lord and Master, waiting for the rest of us to join them. What tragedies; what great price has been paid by over 2,000 of these missionaries, not to mention the volunteers and new believers that have paid the ultimate price in order to complete the Great Commission! What amazing miracles! What stunning interventions by the Almighty GOD on behalf of His faithful servants! What financial sacrifices people around the world have made…most of them having no absolute they could see that everything written in these Mideast Updates are even totally genuine. Amazing people God has pulled together for this portion of God’s harvest in these critical very last of the last days! HOB supporters give and they pray, pray, and pray some more!
Most may not remember that the Master had promised this writer over five years ago that every single Bible provided for the Mideast believers would bring fruit…in fact, MUCH fruit! Is this not what we have seen happen?? The 2,000+ House of Blessing martyrs have been faithful in their calling to reach hundreds of thousands of Muslims that today are followers and worshippers of Jesus Christ, the Messiah! These believers are scattered all over Jordan, to start with, then, Syria, Iraq, Kurdistan, and Iran! PRAISE GOD!! Statistics are not important in themselves, but every single soul reached for the Kingdom of God is! And…that number is greater than anyone realizes. ALL of the glory belongs to the One who died, rose from the dead, and sits at the right hand of the Father today!
In light of the fact that I have not had an “official” update, I will just ask us to continue in our vigilance in prayer and support. Knowing what I do know, the needs are very great. The body of believers in the Mideast is much larger today than most realize. Bibles are in great need, as are other supplies that House of Blessing uses to help the suffering people around them. God always uses this demonstrated love as a way to show the love of God. Thank you all.
In closing, I would urge all to remember that the return of the Lord is imminent. We are in the very last of the last days. We are the generation that is about to be interrupted by that great trumpet blast and the voice of our God calling us home into His presence. Knowing this, let’s let the things of this world become less and less important and focus on the work of the Kingdom of God and our soon entrance into the inheritance of the saints of God promised by our Lord and Master.
