There will be a new Mideast Update coming out in a couple days. But, I received a special request for prayer Saturday evening (Pacific Time). Omar and some of the brothers were attacked and captured by Islamic Extremists in Iraq. Reports are that their eyes were bound shut, their hands and their hands and feet tied. They were then severely beaten on their hands and feet with wooden rods and dragged off somewhere. No one knows where they are except that they were taken eastward. i have included a special statement sent to me from Abdelrahem through Sister Rolla. The English is understandable enough that I did not do any editing of his message.

Hello my brother Jack, this is Abdelrahem. Please pray for the safety of the brothers. I just want to draw your attention and every Christian should be aware that people’s allegiance to the Gospel is met with force and brutality so that they do not follow Christ. But no, a thousand times no. The power of faith saves the faithful who have hearts. According to the covenant of Christ, what I have received is that the brothers’ eyes were bound, their hands were tied, and they were dragged like dogs. None of them surrendered. They were beaten with sticks on their feet and hands, and the Bibles they had with them were taken. They went east. No one knows until now. Pray for them and supplicate only.
This is a proof that Jesus is coming so soon.

Not much information is available yet and I do not have a complete list of names of those taken. I do have three of the names: Omar, Sheikhs Al-Maliki and Al-Damanhouri. We don’t know if they were taken to a cave, prison, or where other than east. Please pray. God does not allow anything to happen without His direct knowledge. One way or another, God will take what the devil intends for evil and will turn it into good, as He did with Joseph in Genesis.
