A couple days ago I put together a special news article having to do with the turmoil in the Mideast.  It was supposed to have been designated to the News Page on the site, but was misdirected, not that it matter all that much at this point.

I do want to give you some more current information concerning the spread of the demonstrations and where it will all end up.  There are now hundreds of news articles that are showing what is going on, and I just picked a handful of them to show you what I see developing.  I read a statement by another watcher of Biblical prophecy and although I don’t have the quote in front of me, he said something along this line:  “Prophecy and its fulfillment is much like the workings of earthquake faults.  Things going on are not all that visible; in fact seem rather quiet, and then all of a sudden there is a major lurch.”  I have noticed this over the years myself.  It then leaves us having to do some catch-up work to see what just happened and where it is heading.  This is what we are witnessing in the Middle East at this very time.

The developments are now escalating and, considering the volatility of that part of the world, is very likely setting things into motion that were foretold long ago in the Bible.  The trouble that started in Tunisia has spread into several other Arab countries, and Arab nations that had not been affected a few days ago are now facing a possibility of the same happening in their countries.  We have already seen this affect Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen, Algeria, and even the Sudan.  Some of these countries started with small demonstrations, but they are escalating.  What happened in Egypt caught everyone off guard.   The Red Cross has said that Pakistan is now in danger of unrest.  Other Muslim nations are being affected right across the map.

I could not help but wonder a few days ago when this would affect Syria.  Things are also going to change drastically in Iraq.  So far there has been nothing said about Saudi Arabia, but we do know that the kingdom there is afraid of the younger generation that is out of work and struggling to survive, while the ruling class is wealthy beyond what we can imagine.  I have seen news articles already mentioning this.  Morocco is another nation that would prove troublesome if this were to happen there.  I believe that their time will come as well.  Morocco is right at the Strait of Gibraltar, and with the tremendous economic turmoil that Spain is in, the ocean passageway into the Mediterranean could conceivably be closed off.  This on top of the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood, who I believe will become the main force in Egypt, want to shut off the Suez Canal, Iran wanting to control passageway through the Strait of Hormuz, and then lastly Yemen could effectively control the passageway from the Gulf of Aden into the Red Sea right at its southern tip.

We in the west don’t think about the ramifications of all this to the economy of the world, but it would have a catastrophic effect if the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Muslim groups decided to unite the Muslim world.  One has to think of the many other Muslim nations that could also be affected, like Pakistan and Indonesia for instance.  Pakistan has just doubled its nuclear weaponry.  Yet, the government of Pakistan has been close to collapse for some time now.  It would not take much for exactly that to happen.

As for news from the last couple days, here are a few important articles and videos that you might want to read and watch.

The Palestinian Authority leader Abbas and even Hamas are scared of the same type of demonstrations spreading into Gaza and the West Bank and have taken steps to try to nip the problem in the bud.  I don’t think they will be successful.  Abbas is seen as a traitor to the cause of the Palestinians by many, and they want him replaced by someone more radical.  We have to remember that Muslims have one goal with Israel, and that is its complete destruction.  This is why it is such a sticking point with the Palestinian Authority to recognize the Jewish State as part of the “Two State Solution”.  They won’t do it.  None of their maps even show Israel being there.

The Muslim Brotherhood has made it clear that they want the treaty between Egypt and Israel nullified.  In the last news post, I included an article showing that Muslim Brotherhood want Egypt to prepare for war with Israel immediately.

The latest news shows that Syria has already had some small demonstrations but there are steps being taken to try and keep them from becoming anything substantial.  Demonstrations are illegal in Syria and the government has promised to deal with any insurrection with a heavy hand.  It always has in the past.  Security is tightening up considerably.  Saturday has been a planned day for demonstrations.  We’ll see what happens, I’m sure.

Yemen is continuing to have demonstrations, and I suspect that they will only increase, especially when Mubarak has been taken out of power.

Egypt has huge multitudes in Cairo to celebrate “The Day of Departure”. There have been quite a few reports of deaths during the last few days.  I have watched numerous videos showing the violence, including a security van running over people, and it was rather surreal looking.

I have also satched another video clip by MSNBC that shows something rather extraordinary.  This is either due to strange lighting, or who knows?  What it shows, about  right in the middle of the angry crowd, and then leaving the ground as it shows a few minutes into the reporting, was what looked like a phantom, yet very visible. It looked much like the pale (sickly green) horse and rider of Revelation 6.   The phantom visibly was on the ground and then slowly rode through the crowd and gradually up into the air! Very strange!

I have also included news article with Khomeini of Iran giving his encouragement to the insurrection, saying that this is necessary as the leaders of the different Muslim nations have proven to be traitors.

I also watched a short clip done by Jon Scott from Fox News and found it to be well done.  I had intended to slip it in here but can’t seem to be mastering the technology today.  It is well worth watching if you happen to find it in the video section of the Fox News Main Page.

Israel has a right to be nervous.  Even though Mubarak was a true dictator, he did keep the peace treaty in effect during his 30 years in power.  That is going to be changed now.  Jordan is also about to back out on their agreement with Israel as well.  This will prove to be to their ultimate destruction.  One thing that Israel is concerned about is that demonstrations could and probably will happen on the Temple Mount too.  I believe that is the case as well.  In fact, I have a gut feeling that the next war that Israel gets into with her neighbors may very well begin as a result of the events still to come on the Temple Mount.  We’ll see soon enough.

I want to insert a scripture from Zechariah 12 once again.  “This is the word of the Lord concerning Israel.  The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him, declares:  I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem.  On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations.  All who try to move it will injure themselves.  On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness, declares the Lord.  I will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations.  Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the Lord Almighty is their God.  On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves.  They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.  The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah.  On that day the Lord will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the Lord going before them.  On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem. (Zech. 12: 1-9 NIV)

We are moving into the time of these events very quickly now.  It is important to remember that Israel is not only facing one war, and more than one is referred to here as well as other prophetic scriptures.  They will face off with their immediate neighbors, then there will be the whole Muslim confederacy, dragging Russian along with them, and then of course the final battle of the ages, Armageddon, when the whole world rises up with their armies in order to destroy this tiny nation.  Amazing!  More posts are upcoming to distinguish these wars and the details involved.

Do Keep Looking Up!  Jesus said, when we see all things things beginning to happen, our redemption is near, in fact at the door!

  1. Jake, I was just curious. President Murbarak was in leadership for 30 years – he was able to keep the peace treaty all that time. Now all of sudden, everyone wants him to resign and leave the country. Could it be that the Muslims no longer want that peace treaty with Israel that President Murbarak kept intact all those years? I am trying to figure out why the Eyptians all of sudden have a probem with the President – if they wanted the Muslim regime to rise a long time and unify all the muslim nations why did they wait until now? I am thinking that it all has to do with timing of end time events. What do you think?

    1. I believe that there was much outside interference, including from here. I’m trying to stay out of the politics end of it, but do happen to pay attention to it. It all ties together. The main body of the people were pretty content to live in peace, and even though Mubarak ruled with an iron hand, he did keep things stable. He also raped the country, but even that didn’t really set the people off. The interference really had its effect this last year or so. What I think also aided it was the food shortages that were beginning to happen, as well as the escalation of the prices.

As far as what’s really happening in the Mideast, timing is a huge thing. Prophecy is going to be fulfilled, one way or another. The Muslim nations were eventually going to come together for war. The Bible says so. The Muslim Brotherhood has biding its time, but will show itself a cruel ruler as scripture says. It’s just a matter of time. One Arab or Muslim nation at a time will now fall just like dominoes. God said He would bring them to a point of war to judge them. The cup of iniquity has filled up. We’re going to see things come together quickly, even if it is in lurches. The most disturbing part for us here is that America is facing horrid events this year. Things are already in motion.
