Today’s update is very short but I have found out in the last couple days that Pastor R’s health has taken a major turn for the worse. This is what has been passed on to me so far. Because his health was so very poor and deteriorating, he was admitted into the hospital. At first, he experienced pain in his stomach which caused him to vomit several times. He continued to be nauseous and dizzy. When his blood pressure dropped sharply, doctors quickly rushed in to treat him. His heart muscle gradually began to weaken which led to a further drop in pressure as blood was unable to reach his liver and caused an increase in enzymes. This led to kidney failure which in turn led to shortness of breath and pneumonia due to pre-existing issues with diabetes and gangrene.

Pastor R passed out and his heart stopped. He was resuscitated after receiving electric shocks and the doctors were able to bring him back from death’s door. He was given oxygen and was given intravenous x-rays, which showed that he was suffering from bronchitis and a blockage of the heart artery. The doctors needed to use a dialysis machine to extract the toxins and fluids.

The pressure continued to drop from time to time until his heart stopped for the second time. He was once again revived. Praise the Lord!

Please keep Pastor R in your prayers. He is going to need a miracle. Or, only God knows when his time of service in this fallen world is over and time to be perfectly healed by coming HOME. I know Pastor R’s attitude would parallel Job’s in the Old Testament:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD.” In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.  Job 1:21-22

As we at the House of Blessing receive more information, we will let you know. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Forever in His Service,

Jake
