As I sit here at my laptop and begin this update, I think about today’s date and all that is happening in the world and I am astounded that I am witnessing all that I am seeing coming to pass. A couple days ago while my wife, Anne, was spending time alone with the Lord, she wrote down some of her thoughts. This is from her notes on September 20:

“Untold numbers of people have become convinced that Old and New Testament prophecies concerning the end times are going to be fulfilled–not just in our day, but actually in the next week or two. The internet testimonies of people having visions of what is to come are astounding. Teachings about scriptural references to coming events abound. Sadly, only a few churches teach what has been foretold. Many people are not informed. Many are skeptical. Many are deceived. Seemingly, few are anticipating, eager, or encouraging others. Only a remnant are watching…”

Now for a lot of people, getting too specific with Bible prophecy becomes uncomfortable and I realize the controversies that arise. But, with so many specific signs given for us to watch for, signs that specifically tell the world that the end of the age has come, only a fool would ignore what God has had written for our benefit. Earlier generations have not had the benefit of the explosion of knowledge that has been made available to our generation, nor has the Body of Christ been able to understand much of Bible prophecy concerning the end of the age. Today, we don’t have that excuse. Many prefer to play the ostrich and bury their head in the sand but I believe the true Church is commanded to know the times and act accordingly. The Apostle Paul, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, put it like this:

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and Safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4

The Day of the Lord refers to the Apocalypse as detailed in the Book of Revelation and also spoken of by many of the Old Testament prophets. We are right now…TODAY, on the very knife’s edge of the beginning of this prophetic seven years of time. Because of this, the true Church, the Body of Christ, must be aware! According to this passage of scripture, it is the unbelieving world that will be caught off guard. The Church is told to be aware and not to be in darkness about coming events.

Regardless of the many scoffers, the Lord has been warning us loud and clear. Our world is about to explode into world war, world weather is becoming chaotic, we have famines and pestilences, and the signs in the heavens are showing up in abundance. The blood moons in 2014 and 2015 were not by coincidence. The Great American eclipse was also not a coincidence. Even the story-line being drawn in the heavens in Revelation 12:1-2 is being given to us to show us that this age is ending. This sign in the heavens has not appeared with all the details given in these two verses since the creation of Adam and Eve and does not appear again. This miraculous display in the heavens is complete for only a few hours on September 23, 2017…tomorrow….for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.! Verses 1-5 tell us that the true Body of Christ will be removed (Raptured / caught up) from the face of this earth and taken into the presence of the Lord to keep the Dragon (Satan) from being able to destroy them. And, there is so much more. Scripture predicts armies surrounding Israel, and the entire world taking a stand against the nation of Israel. That is happening at this very time. Jesus warned and said, “When you see these things beginning to come to pass, look up for your redemption draws near.”

So…I share all these things today because God’s Word is blowing the trumpet telling us time is running out for this world. The House of Blessing missionaries know that time is very short and are doing everything they can to reach as many souls as possible before it is too late. This applies to us and the rest of the body of believers. Whatever we intend to do in obedience to Christ’s call needs to be done very quickly. There is no time to spare!

I did receive a call from Pastor R this morning and he gave me details for today’s update. He has been out of reception areas for most of the last two weeks and so was not able to call. In the last few days, I have had several people ask about the condition of Omar and Same. Both of these men had been seriously injured when they were shot point-blank in an attack right after one of their teaching sessions. The third man, Nader, was killed instantly in that attack. Pastor R told me this morning that, due to the fact that both men were found to have diabetes which was keeping their wounds from healing, they were taken to hospital for treatment. This will provide some help in dealing with the diabetes as well. Soon we will all be transformed into our eternal immortal bodies and we won’t have to deal with sickness, disease, or pain ever again! Halellujah!

Three well trained men, who have been baptized with the Holy Spirit, have been chosen to finish teaching the three groups of 500+ that Same, Omar, and Nader had been teaching before being attacked. These men resumed the classes and have been teaching for three days now. Their names are: Hesham–teaching Omar’s students, Tallat–teaching Same’s students, and Assem–finishing the class for Nader. The students are very happy to be back to their studies and are receiving the teaching of their new instructors very well.

The twelve men, directly trained by Pastor R some time ago, were able to bring 180 souls into the Kingdom of God since the last update. It must be an exciting thing to see all of these new believers gathering together as they satisfy their hunger for the Word of God under the teaching of these men.

Sarah and the 1,500 that are being taught in 24 separate locations are also continuing with their training. Pastor R said he was able to visit all of these groups once again and was able to do some teaching himself as well as pray for these folks. Through gifts that have come in, more Bibles were able to be purchased and also more copies of teaching materials mass-copied for all of the new Bible students to take home. They do homework and memorize as much Scripture as they can. Soon, they will all be well “armed” with the Word of God for the work of the ministry that God is calling them to!

In northern Syria, the Widow Sisterhood continues with the ministry God has called them to. As regular readers know, Mufiedah, Fatwa, and the sisters minister to many injured people. They often handle some of the worst cases, people who are threading the needle between life and death because of their injuries. God continues to heal and the widows continue bringing these lost souls to the feet of Yeshua for forgiveness of their sins. The Master will turn no one away who comes before Him in sincerity. God is good!!

I have learned that in the Idlib area, which is near Aleppo, at least 20,000 ISIS militants and their families have been given safe haven as part of continuing negotiations. Iran and Hezbollah are more than happy to give them safe passage as they take over the strongholds they vacate. This is actually only fueling the fires of war that will soon break out in a very big way between Israel and all of the forces aligned against them. Very soon this will involve Russia and its allies as well. This will quickly embroil most of the world in a war that will probably be seen as World War 3, but Biblically appears to be a fulfillment of the Ezekiel 38-39 war, or the Gog / Magog war. Very big events are on the horizon. Yet, regardless of what is going on internationally with politics or national, international, ethnic, or religious conflicts, the HOB missionaries continue with the work of evangelism, and they will continue until they are called into the presence of the soon coming Messiah and KING, Jesus Christ…as should we all.

Every time I receive information for a new update, I receive the news of more of the HOB missionaries, HOB volunteers, and new believers who have lost their lives for their faith. Eight more in northern Syria lost their lives in the last few days. It seems there is always someone being buried, but we know that their spirits immediately leave their bodies and are brought into the presence of the One who shed His own blood for their freedom from sin and eternal death. How precious are the deaths of the saints in the eyes of the Lord!

In Falluijah, a location that continues to be very dangerous for Christians, Adel, Khaled and those ministering with them were able to pray the sinner’s prayer with 120 who pledged their lives unto the Lordship of Jesus. Sadly four more of the missionaries were lost in the Fallujah area. Fatima, in the same area, was able to hold communion services for at least 400 of the believers, while in Syria, Hafezah was able to have communion services with at least 500 more. Praise God! The believers are always spiritually recharged when they leave these special times of blessing!

For months now we have read the stories of victory as well as tragedy in the Mosul area, and it continues on a daily basis. Akram, Mustafa and the HOB missionaries in their area reached another 350 souls and they were able to get another 80 of the dead buried. As you will remember, there were so many dead it was impossible to get them all buried at one time. The HOB missionaries have been helping the civil authorities with this gruesome task.

I also received news today that the 75 School of Ministry students in Kurdistan, as well as the 50 that have been taking their classes in Iran, have now graduated and have become part of the HOB volunteer missionary staff. Praise God for these additional soldiers of the cross! They will now go about reproducing themselves many times over!

In conclusion, I want to again thank all those who have prayed so faithfully and also those who have given to the work of the ministry these House of Blessing volunteer missionaries are so faithful to. The harvest continues to be great, and of course, the needs also continue to be very great. But, God is faithful. I would like to close with something I read in Jonathan Cahn’s “Book of Mysteries” from Day 288 of his fine book. In this portion, the Teacher (Messiah) is asking his student to consider the value of every moment of his life.  He compares the rarity of our time in view of eternity.  That is, while we might think our time on this earth is rather common because it is made up of countless moments, every day, every year, in actuality each of those moments is rare because it comes only once in all of eternity. Infinitely rare. Infinitely valuable. Every moment a once-in-eternity moment, of infinite value…infinitely priceless. His point is that whatever good we do, the time to do it is now because that time comes only once in an eternity.

-I shall not pass this way again-

(Psalm 90:10-12; Romans 13:11-14; 2 Corinthians 6:1-2; Ephesians 5:16)

Forever in His Service,

Jake Geier
