I received a call very early this morning from Pastor R asking me for urgent prayer. Readers of this blog will know Mufidah’s name well. She has been in the line of fire for several years now as she and her group of widows we’ve called “The Widow Sisterhood” have ministered to, prayed for, and led untold hundreds to the feet of Yeshua, the Messiah.

I don’t have many details yet but know that she and the other sisters I have named below were in a location somewhere in the Aleppo / Idlib area where bombs had been dropped, killing and injuring many. As she and her assistants were ministering to the critically wounded, another jet fighter came in. They tried to run and get clear of the target area but did not have time to get completely clear. These women were badly injured and are hanging between life and death as I write this emergency update. I don’t have details about the extent of their injuries, but they are grave. They have lost a great deal of blood and others are doing everything they can to stop the bleeding.

In the last few hours, I am told that at least three hospitals were hit by bombs or missiles. I have not seen the news articles for myself yet but can only imagine what the conditions are on the ground. I have followed the events in Syria for several years now and have shared much on this blog site, especially as it has affected the House of Blessing missionaries.

Please take this moment to pray for these women:

Nawal, Rania, Dalal, Zakia, Jasmine, Mona, Aida, Fadwa, and of course, Mufidah.

We find these words in the book of James:

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray, Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up…James 5:13-15

In this case, you / we can all function as “elders” as we have held these precious saints up in our prayers for years now. We can’t physically anoint them with oil, but we can bathe them with our earnest prayers. They are being anointed and cared for by those in whose hands they presently are.

Thank you all, and may God bless you for your support and prayers. Please be watching for the next update which is due out shortly.

In His Service,

Jake Geier

  1. Calling out for them this morning in Australia. They are close to our hearts as we go boldly go to the throne of our Abba for these incredibly brave and wonderful servants of the Most High.
    Mercy Mercy Mercy we cry.

    1. Thanks Kaye. I see by the news that the bombings are continuing and they are ferocious. Our brethren really need our prayer and support! But, as I say so often, God is never caught off guard…

  2. Dear Jake,
Received your update this morning and wanted to let you know ,that I was at a meeting today with about 60 other believers and we prayed in the Spirit for Mufidah the other dear ladies and the situation they find themselves in at this moment.
    Blessings Aileen
