After I initially read the story Dr. Nibras related in his report below, I thought of Jesus’ prayer on the cross. Isaiah 52:14 tells us that Jesus was so severely beaten that He hardly resembled a man hanging on the cross. Yet, He prayed for His killers, saying: “Father, forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing.” When faced with the vile hatred one human being can have for another, resulting in inhumane atrocities, love for the attacker is not the first thing that comes to mind. It is only the love of God that can provide the ability to love those that hate us. Today’s story is an example of the grace of God.

As reported previously, Dr. Nibras, Dr. Khalowi, and Sheikh Zakarias were attacked and badly beaten while trying to intervene when three sheikhs and their HOB students were being viciously attacked. The three were then shot in their legs, dragged into a cave and tied together so they could hardly move – certainly not escape. They were left in this condition. In time, help came via some of the sisters who brought medical supplies, but their condition was very poor. There are more details, but in the end, the men were able to share the Gospel with their attackers, starting with about five of them and then gradually many more. Dr. Nibras, after his eventual release, relates below more of what transpired. I received this report February 25, 2026.

Peace be with you, brother Jack, and peace to everyone who called upon the Lord on our account during the previous very difficult days. God’s miraculous intervention was the source for today’s update. I find myself thanking God repeatedly for the deliverance He has granted us and the forgiveness needed for those who did us harm. I pray that you, brothers and sisters, will find a similar feeling after reading our amazing story below. Thankfully, the Blood of Jesus is powerful enough to forgive even the worst sins! All this has also been shared with my teacher and our pastor, Abdelrahem.

The Old Testament is full of raw, realistic stories of human life. God, in His wisdom and authority, chose to tell everything: the good, the evil, and the atrocities! The story of Manasseh, one of the most wicked kings, is one such story. This evil king was guilty of leading his people into the great sin of worshipping pagan gods. He not only defied God’s laws but also ruled with extreme cruelty, including the order to execute the prophet Isaiah (who was actually his grandfather), by having him cut in half inside a tree. In my opinion, it would be hard to forgive this man. However, consider what the Bible says about Manasseh when he later cries out to God in his despair.

10 And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen. 11 Therefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon. 12 Now when he was in affliction, he implored the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, 13 and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God.  2 Chronicles 33:10-13

The  three of us, myself, Dr. Khalawi, and Sheikh had a long dialogue with the gunmen. Some of the HOB missionaries who came to us, joined in. This was after we had been attacked, legs shot, dragged into a cave and tied together.  Eventually, we asked the gunmen to allow us to go with them to a safer place where we could pray for them. Miraculously, they agreed. Once there, we were able to guide them in a prayer of repentance. One of the first things they did was throw down all their weapons, vowing never to return to that life. As they asked Jesus to become the Lord of their lives, these men, notorious for killing in the name of Islam, were truly born again! Their sins were completely forgiven, and as the Bible tells us, their sins are now as far away in God’s eyes as the east is from the west. Any consequences there may be for these men and their families, only God knows. One thing is certain: even if they lose their lives at this moment, their names are recorded in the Book of Life. They belong to the family of the redeemed!

Most of us find it difficult to overlook murders and other atrocities committed with impunity. This is a matter left to God, and we trust in Him. War is ugly, horrific, and, as we have said, it is the work of those who hate humanity — of Satan himself. War waged in the name of religion is even more devastating. Killing as a supposed means to attain eternal paradise is a false belief. There is scarcely a clearer example of the contrast between God’s profound love for lost humanity and Satan’s intense hatred for humanity than what we see in the Middle East today. But God’s love prevails. The light that illuminates the darkness dispels it. No amount of darkness can extinguish the true light in a room!

As a result of God’s love being manifested through these missionaries from the House of Blessing, 50 fighters along with their families, prayed and asked the Lord for forgiveness, and were baptized! Thus, the number of those who joined God’s family that day reached 270! I have been told that they now have a great passion for learning the true word of God, instead of the satanic belief system that previously bound them! This is a story the media will not tell, but it is true nonetheless! Please, I, Dr. Nibras, beg you to spread this wonderful story widely. Send it, repost it, or share it in any other way. It is a great source of encouragement. God is worthy of all glory for this amazing manifestation of his love, forgiveness, and power to restore.

Sheikh Zakaria is still very busy worshipping God and praying. Soon after his release, it was reported that he had met with between 120 and 150 people that morning. Many people continue to report healings. A deep love has grown in their hearts for this kind brother. The Sheikh also continues to pray for between 300-450 people until now and will be daily. He said that because of the many illnesses people suffer in these long prayer lines, he feels very weak at the end of the day, but the Lord has been faithful to heal him each day so that he can pray again! Only in the Hereafter will we see all that God has done through these long hours of prayer.

His servant forever,

Dr. Nibras

In the email below that I received on February 26, 2026, Dr. Nibras shared the basics of a teaching that he and Abdelrahem had prepared to share with primarily new House of Blessing School of Ministry Bible students. He asked me to share this teaching material with you so that you have a sample of what is being taught to the students. Dr. Nibras and his two companions are recuperating though walking is still very careful and slow, but thank God that they can even walk. It is an ongoing miracle! Please pray for these men!

Peace be upon you, brother Jack. Here is what I have shared with our Pastor Abdelrahem and will be the subject tomorrow (on February 27th) at the mosques. The teachings are focused mainly on the classrooms full of new HOB believers.

Today, in my daily Bible reading, I read a passage from Isaiah 30, where God expressed His displeasure with His people to His prophet Isaiah and dictated a message for him to deliver to them. He said that they were a people who…

“Say to the seers, ‘do not see’, and to the prophets, ‘Do not prophesy to us right things; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.”  Isaiah 30:10-11a

God viewed His people at that time as selfish, complacent, and unwilling to bear the burden of hearing difficult truths. Their despair had reached such a point that they preferred to hear a distortion of any truth that might offend or upset them. They desired only to hear comforting words from the prophet, words that would make them feel safe, secure, and happy.

Jesus strongly criticized the religious leaders of His time. No one can misunderstand what He said in Matthew 16:2-3:

He answered and said unto them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.”

But God wants us to be fully aware of the circumstances in which we live. A good example of this can be found in Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, chapter 5. Notice the words “we”, “they”, “you”, “others”, and “us” in the text. These words are underlined in the text below for emphasis.

1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” Then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you are doing.  1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

Who knows that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night? We do. Who is surprised by the sudden destruction? They are. Who is not destined to incur God’s wrath? We are. Who comforts one another with these words? We do. How is this distinction so clear? Because the people of God are called to know what the Bible says about prophecy and to believe God in what it says.

“The beginning of sorrows” that Jesus spoke of has already begun. In fact, these sufferings began to escalate about 120 years ago, late in the 19th century.

The fig tree has long been a well-known symbol of the Jewish nation. And when Jesus referred to the sign that would indicate the end of the end times, it was to be when Israel was to return to its ancient land and become a nation again. This would begin the clock ticking.

32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near — at the door! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.  Matthew 24:32-35

In Matthew 24, Jesus gives an explanation of the events that will culminate at the end of time. This comes in response to the disciples’ question about how to know when these things will happen and what to expect. Earlier in the chapter, Jesus gave several signs to watch for that will begin to appear as that time approaches. These things that Jesus mentioned, in addition to what was foretold by the prophets of the Old Testament, are now unfolding before our very eyes. It is our responsibility and the mission God has entrusted to us to recognize its reality.

However, what God said has already come to pass … as it always has and always will. Today we have the Bible, the printed words of our Almighty God, filled with the necessary warnings and information to make it clear that we are in the end times. Yet, the world continues its blind rush toward the abyss — a period of time that Jesus Himself described as the worst time in human history, one that will never be repeated. This includes the time of Noah’s flood!

How do we know we are there today? There are many reasons, but one of the most important is that Jesus prophesied that these very things would pave the way for the great end of the world. The end of the world we are talking about is the one the Apostle John saw in his vision, recorded in the last book of the New Testament, the Book of Revelation. The Bible makes it clear that we are on its doorstep.

So, what does all this mean? It tells us that we are indeed on the brink of the end of the age. Jesus warned us repeatedly, as did God’s prophets throughout the millennia. People in the world around us can’t grasp the full picture, but true believers should have some understanding of these matters. We, followers of Jesus — more than anyone else — must believe in Him and everything He said — especially the things that concern our generation. We need to be able to offer answers to those who are lost and confused in this world. But how can we do that if no one tells us? It’s time to turn to the prophecies of the Bible before it’s too late! The prophecies were included in God’s Word so we would know what was coming and why! It’s time to seriously examine our scriptures and prepare for the very different, and perhaps difficult, days ahead. The time remaining is much shorter than you think!

Remember what we read in 1 Thessalonians above? True followers of Jesus are not surprised. The letter also tells us that, thanks to the helmet of salvation, we will not suffer God’s wrath on a wicked, Christ-rejecting world. In verse 11 of the same passage, the apostle Paul says, “Encourage one another with these things … these words! So, while we are still here, we must make the most of the time we have left until we hear that great trumpet and the voice of God calling us out of the path of the coming judgment and to our eternal home with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

His servants forever,

Dr. Nibras and Abdelrahem

In conclusion, thank you all for your prayers and support. It is because of your prayers that Dr. Nibras and his companions are able to get back to the Lord’s calling upon their lives after what happened to them. Thank you! But, please don’t stop! Ramadan is very different this year than prior years in which the House of Blessing has evangelized, and it is not only because there is the threat of a massive war. The kingdom of hell knows the time is running out. Please keep in mind that there continues to be a great need for financial help to cover printing costs. Thank you all for your help!

Forever in His Service,

Jake (aka Jack)
