In John 14:27 we read: “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Jesus said this to His disciples near the end of His earthly ministry. The disciples were already living in troubled times but Jesus knew it would get worse — much worse. We also live in troubled times and in a troubled world. There is no such thing as security here. Thieves break in, accidents happen, illnesses come unannounced, there are terror attacks, and death comes to us all, sooner or later.

Many people became some of the world’s strongest faith-filled Christians in the midst of battlefields, torture chambers, crossfires, and crime-ridden neighborhoods — the places on this earth where conflict rages and death can come at any moment. Jesus encouraged His disciples by promising them peace, yet they all died as martyrs with the exception of John. In Hebrews 11 we have a long list of heroes of the faith, people who faced some of the worst of circumstances, yet Jesus’ promise was good for them too.

One of the many paradoxes of the Gospel is that those who have no security in this world can be the most secure of all. They have found it elsewhere — in the promises of the One who overcomes the world — the King whose kingdom is never shaken and who assured them that they need not let their hearts be troubled. “In this world, you will have trouble, but I have overcome the world.” Praise God!

Today’s update has three reports. All were put together by Dr. Nibras and sent containing information he received from Abdelrahem and others. The first was received on 3/7/2026.

***********

Peace be with you, brother Jack, and with all the beloved of Jesus. Just to clarify, the passage below has already been explained to all the brothers…

20 “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. 24Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.  Jude 20-25

Many people don’t understand what makes a man or woman an evangelist. These verses give us a clear glimpse into their inner lives. When we realize that everyone around us is headed toward eternity, and for most, an uncertain eternity, it gives us a different motivation for life. The evangelists of the House of Blessing are constantly surrounded by death, and they think of only one thing: to deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others before they depart. There is another important passage and this is its text:

6Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. 8“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. 10For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  Isaiah 55:6-11

One of the things that concerns Abdelrahem, the director of the House of Blessing ministry, is our awareness of the importance of this. He has made a covenant with the Lord to exert even greater effort than before in training volunteer missionaries to spread the word of God in the Middle East. Providing booklets, pamphlets, and bibles aims to increase daily teaching hours, train more missionaries in less time, and reach a greater number of people now while the opportunity is available.

Most people in the West do not realize how serious is the situation our world is facing today. Others, however, are fully aware of the despair that hangs over our world like a dark cloud, leaving millions of victims. People need to hear the message of Christ’s cross now, while there is still time, for it will soon be too late! It is easy for most people to ignore the signs of these times and believe that life will continue as usual, especially if we are living relatively comfortable lives. But in God’s word, we find warnings that call us to prepare for the Lord’s return. This is the essence and spirit of the message of the House of Blessing.

Considering the limited time, as we mentioned in the last update, and with Ramadan nearing its end, there is another great opportunity to reach those who are lost. Ramadan has proven to be a month of great harvest in the past two years, and I am certain that the number of people who will come to the Gospel of Jesus’ love this year will exceed the number who came in the past two years. It is not the god of Satan, Allah, who brings the harvest, but Jehovah God. God has answered the prayers of tens of thousands of Muslims, and some have witnessed the appearance of Jesus. Only then did they fully understand who the Messiah truly is!

In the passage above from the book of Isaiah, God promised that His word will not go unheard, but will always achieve its purpose. This is the power of the Word. It is not what any of us can do as individuals that is truly great, but rather what God chooses to do through us here, or in any other place in the world.

This second report was also from Dr. Nibras and was received on 3/9/2026.

Peace be upon you and upon all who believe in Jesus. I will begin within this, my brother Jack. I received information that Abdelrahem had prayed for an elderly sheikh who had lost his sight. Sheikh Tarmkhani, Abdelrahem, Ma’touq, Hayel, and Arshid entered the mosque to hide from a drone attack. The sheikh and some people were there. They returned the greeting and asked to enter. The sheikh granted them permission, and he began talking with Ma’touq, sharing everything with them. Ma’touq then asked Abdelrahem and the other sheikhs to pray for him. He asked for a bowl of water, mud, and a white cloth to cover the sheikh’s eyes. The prayer was performed, and they placed the mud and the cloth. After half an hour, Ma’touq asked that the cloth be removed and the man’s face washed. In just a few minutes, the sheikh, who was nearing the end of his seventies, began to see the light. Abdelrahe said, “this is the work of a merciful Lord.” The people were amazed and began shouting, “what is this?” Ma’touq told them, “It is Jesus. The healing was from Him. We only pray for you, and He answers.” Jesus has ways of doing things that often seem strange to people. One such miracle was performed on a blind man in the Gospel of John 9:1-12. Here is the text of the story:

1Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?” 3Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. 5As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing. 8Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?” 9Some said, “This is he.’ Others said, “He is like him.” He said, “I am he.” 10Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?” 11He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.” 12Then they said to him, “where is He? He said, “I do not know.”  John 9:1-12

What we humans consider a natural way of doing things is often questioned by the God who created us. Many of the miracles recorded in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible raise profound questions in our minds. The methods God uses to intervene in human affairs often defy the laws of physics as we understand them. At other times, His actions challenge what we consider “natural.” When Jesus spat on the ground, took His spittle, molded it into mud, and placed it in the eyes of the blind man, people must have wondered, “What is this man doing — and why in such a strange way?”

There is much that could be used as educational material here, but it is worth noting that Jesus did not hesitate to violate the Pharisees’ human laws. He did so to provoke their reaction and teach them a lesson. In this instance, the Pharisees were so upset by the fact that Jesus was not observing the Sabbath that they completely overlooked the great miracle that had occurred for this man who had been blind from birth!

How did Jesus break the Sabbath? By making mud from spittle and dirt! Jesus knew this would anger them. He could have simply touched the man’s eyes, or even spoken a word, as He had done on other occasions, and healed him. But He “made clay,” which the Pharisees considered “work.” This was not God’s definition of work on the Sabbath, but rather one of the Pharisees’ human laws. Jesus mocked this religious rule by performing this astonishing miracle, despite violating their absurd human custom.

The reason I mention this unusual way of accomplishing what clearly appears to be a miracle is that it is one of the ways God has repeatedly chosen to do among Shia and Sunni Muslims in the Middle East. I will provide you with more details when I learn more, my brother Jack. There are prayers, blessings, and great acceptance for Jesus. It is to our encouragement and to all followers of Jesus.

Your brother,

Dr. Nibras, servant of the Lord

***************

As you read the third report below, note the urgency in Dr. Nibras’ words.  This report was the second one I received on March 9, 2026.

Peace be with you, brother Jack. As I listen to the news going out from the Middle East this month, I can’t help but wonder how long it will be before the situation explodes. I know for certain that the sense of a possible decrease in tensions that many in the West may be experiencing is a false sense of peace. Those living through the escalating events here are not deluded, nor are they feeling any comfort. I won’t go into all the news as it has been reported, as that is not the purpose of this update. But I will remind us of what the Bible says: “When people say, ‘Peace, peace,’ destruction comes suddenly.” This is the reality of the Middle East as it is today.

I received another call from Abdelrahem, pastor of the House of Blessing. Most of the brothers and sisters have an idea of the ongoing story, which began to unfold in late February.  I asked him, and he replied, as usual, “I praise God every day and thank Him for giving me the opportunity to express my love for everyone He has placed in my life when I needed Him.”

He was overjoyed to receive 500 copies of the Bible and 10,000 teaching booklets from a clandestine printing press that provided them in Farsi and Arabic. He still needed to pay for about 6,000 booklets from a previous order, while another 15,000 had been ordered, printed, and prepared for collection. Abdelrahem said that people had run out of Bibles to distribute to the new converts. As you may recall, each Bible is distributed to entire families, with more than 500 people sharing each Bible, and 100 people using and studying each booklet.

When the final shipment of 10,000 booklets arrived, he said that the people celebrated again as if it were a wedding! They jumped for joy. They rejoiced, sang, danced, and expressed their gratitude to God in heaven and to all of you who contributed to making this possible. I, too, would like to offer my thanks. We have taken out a loan to complete the printing of the necessary materials, and we pray that the Lord will provide the means to cover the amount. The Lord is able, for He is the Lord of the harvest.

The story of the widespread preaching and teaching of the Christian message over the past few months is nothing short of miraculous. The message has reached enormous numbers of people in Iran, Azerbaijan, Iraq, and of course, Syria, where the House of Blessing has been present for the past few months. The scale of the refugee crises is staggering, exceeding all imagination. The number of refugees on the Syrian side of the border, which was already close to half a million, has almost doubled. These people were displaced from their homes and could take nothing with them except what they could carry on their backs. The government is providing aid, but meeting this immense need is beyond our comprehension. As I mentioned earlier, as a result HOB volunteers have been able to deliver food and essential supplies to the people they are in contact with. Last week, the House of Blessing distributed a full container of food to the new believers.

HOB experienced tremendous results during the month of Ramadan, which is drawing to a close. Muslims were fasting and praying, and it was as if Jesus Himself interrupted their prayers to Allah, appearing to many of them in dreams and visions. They were also very receptive to the word of God that was conveyed to them. Much of this stems from the despair felt by most of them, exacerbated by the constant drumbeat of war. People there understand that war is inevitable; it is exactly as the Old Testament prophets foretold, occurring in the end times, just before the total destruction of Damascus and its surroundings.

For those who follow the prophecies of the Bible, you have an idea of what is happening and what is about to happen. But for those who haven’t paid attention to these successive events foretold in the Bible, there has never been a more important time than now to read, study, and understand what the Bible says about our times. Our generation is the one foretold by the prophet Daniel, and it is the generation that will understand the prophecy written in its time.

“Towards the end, a group of men will appear who will fix their minds on the prophecies and insist on their literal interpretation, amid much uproar and opposition.”  Sir Isaac Newton

This certainly describes our situation today! Those who insist on scrutinizing the Scriptures’ prophecies about our time often encounter fierce opposition and deep sorrow. I pray that you, brothers and sisters, will understand that our God has not placed anything in His Word to be avoided; on the contrary, as history unfolds, we must understand what God has revealed to us in our time so that we may be vigilant and pray as we should. Jesus made it clear that the world around us chooses to ignore what is to come, but Jesus’ followers are not oblivious. It is not enough to simply live and let things take their course. This is part of our trust in Almighty God, but another part of our relationship with Him is that we see God’s absolute sovereignty and His Word. And as His Word is revealed, we are given the greatest opportunity to spread the Gospel among the masses. Absolutely.

The world around us is filled with fear and uncertainty. Many believers are oblivious; they haven’t studied God’s word themselves, but have received false promises in church and know very little. As a result, we have nothing to offer those around us who are waiting for answers. God will hold us accountable for this, for God’s word says so.

Please pray for Abdelrahem, HOB, and the many volunteer missionaries who have been lifted to faith through your earnest and effective prayers. They need guidance and protection, access to those in need of Christ, and of course, significant financial support. HOB does not incur any operating costs. All funds go directly to purchasing copies of the Bible and booklets.

Thank you all so much for your donations, both large and small. As Billy Graham said, “A little is much when God is in it!” We urgently need approximately $35,000, which has been borrowed to fully complete the current order. Please, raise this need to God and ask Him to provide for us.

Your brother,

Dr. Nibras, servant of the Lord

************

In conclusion, I want to add my gratitude to all of you who diligently pray for and support the House of Blessing. It is very difficult for those of us who live in the West to fully understand the difficulties HOB faces every day. At the same time, however, the Spirit of God is touching thousands upon thousands of souls. What a time we live it!

Please continue to pray for all of the House of Blessing. Some of you received a special request for prayer today, March 11th. The six names sent out were: Mortada, Shahbander, Omar, Durgham, Malih, and Habibalah. It appears the situation is much worse than initially thought. Each was caught teaching a big group of students. It appears that many of them were taken too, but the exact details aren’t known yet.  The Iranian regime, even though at war, has the House of Blessing community of believers in its cross-hairs. Please pray for them! Our heavenly Father was not caught by surprise. He will turn what the devil has intended for evil into good. Let’s see what our God does…

Forever in His Service,

Jake (aka Jack)
