Just a thought: How many of us have sought special guidance from the Holy Spirit? How many of us have pleaded with Him for His power to operate in our lives? How many of us have areas of ministry, acts of service, or life decisions that are constantly on our minds. I believe that God is more than willing to meet with us and guide us into the right decisions in all areas. But, might He have something more important in mind first?
God’s Spirit might have a different order in mind for our lives than we do. We are focused on the things mentioned above and would move from one area of ministry to another, thinking that this is what Christian living and ministry are all about. Could it be that we miss the most important thing, while we are on the treadmill of Christian service? Is it possible that the most important thing on God’s agenda for us is to be made into His likeness, and that this is more important than what is possibly #1 on our agenda? Might it be more important that we saturate ourselves with His Word, His Presence, and His Ways before we try to evangelize the world? Yes, of course, we can begin evangelizing the world from the very day we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord, but we dare not set our intimate time with Him aside in order to perform the work of the ministry! It is more important to know Him and share that life-changing intimate relationship with people, than it is to know about Him and just share that knowledge. Intimacy with God comes from knowing Him, not knowing about Him. He would like us to KNOW Him!
On to the House of Blessing…
The report below was sent by Dr. Nibras on October 17, 2026. As a quick word of explanation before you read Dr. Nibras’ brief update, arrangements were made as quickly as possible to relocate Pastor Abdelrahem, Sheikhs Hayel and Arshid, and others after they suffered the vicious attack mentioned in the previous Mideast Update. Two of the others who suffered in the same attack were Sheikh Bander and Sheikh Farhood. These two men were originally from Abha, Saudi Arabia, and it was suggested that they all relocate to the Abha region because it was comparatively safer than near Mecca and would provide a better opportunity for those that had been injured to recuperate. Sheikhs Bandar and Farhood were both still in a deep coma even after arrival from the long trip to their home region, and this became a focal point of the story below.
Sheikh Al-Sha’bani, who had just been healed of his crippling back issues also accompanied the group. You might remember that it was one of Al-Sha’bani’s wives, Mabrouka, who was savagely slashed by five women and two men and left on the road to die because of her testimony about Jesus. Al-Sha’bani’s surviving wife, Sadyah, Sheikh Bander’s wife, Baheja, and Sheikh Farhood’s wife, Tawfekah were also part of the entourage, as well as others whose names I do not have. Now to Dr. Nibras’ report:
Greetings Brother Jack and all who love Jesus:
I spoke with Pastor Abdelrahem not long ago and, currently, he is still unable to move much and uses a wheelchair — as do Sheikhs Hayel and Arshid. Yet, he expressed contentment, believing that this is exactly what God desires of him and his companions at this time. Furthermore, many people frequently visit the tent, which is overseen by several believers in the area.
Abdelrahem spoke of miracles. On one occasion, they had the opportunity to reach some people in Abha, which is located in southern Saudi Arabia. These people were reached by way of a miracle involving a couple of sheikhs who had been with Abdelrahem, Hayel, and Arshid when they were attacked near Mecca. These two men were still in a deep coma due to their grievous injuries, even after having been transferred to a safer location a long distance south, together with Abdelrahem and others after the horrific attack.
The stricken sheikhs’ names are Bander and Farhood. Because both of these men were originally from the Abha area, a crowd of family and friends had gathered. While they were gathered, the Gospel of Jesus was presented to them. After listening for some time, the crowd challenged Abdelrahem, saying that if Jesus were truly who He claimed to be, He should be able to heal the men in front of everyone. Abdelrahem agreed to pray for them and as he prayed, the sheikhs, while in their coma, felt what could only be described as an electric current passing through them. Realizing that this “shock” had caused no harm, the men attempted to stand and discovered they had in fact been healed, whereas prior to the prayer they had been completely incapacitated. All 400 people present ended up becoming followers of Jesus.
This miracle did not merely impact those individuals, but it also inspired them to reach out to others. Several sheikhs in attendance were deeply moved by this miracle and subsequently became hosts for the new movement. They in turn opened the doors to facilitate meetings with approximately 35 other sheiks.
Abdelrahem emphasized that he believes God intends to use him in a special way to connect with the prominent individuals who frequent his tent. He is able to engage with people for many hours each day, even after his near-death experience. Hundreds of people are coming to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Master.
When I asked about his health following his ordeal, he was reluctant to share many details as he does not want any pity for what has happened. I asked if he was able to move around. He did not directly respond, but instead focused on whether we needed anything. I have, however, learned that he has no feeling in his legs and does not dare attempt to walk. His infections are clearly improving though, thanks to antibiotics that were provided for him by his Christian friends. These friends are still assisting him today. The pastor emphasized that he knows God is in complete control of his life, his circumstances, his companions, his future, and God’s plan for him, whether in life or in death. This brings to mind what the Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians, found in the first chapter:
18 “What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached, and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice. 19For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. 21For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. 23For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. 24Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. 25And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, 26that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again. 27Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28and not in any way terrified by your adversaries…” Philippians 1:18-28a
Abdelrahem expresses his deep gratitude to everyone who reaches out to him. People all over the world have come to know him solely through what is published on this website. He is thankful for both prayers and support, as his message reaches many at a time when the situation is escalating into a catastrophic war. He has asked for earnest prayer that he may continue his calling to the best of his ability, even though he is unable to move about freely. He remains firmly confident that God will provide a way for him to leave the region when the right time comes. Meanwhile, people continue to flock to his tent, where — with God’s help — he is able to teach, encourage, and guide them.
As these words are being written, more souls are being called by God into His kingdom. Let us be part of what God is doing in this corner of the world — a work whose ultimate outcome rests solely in His hands. God’s love is not limited to us or to the Jewish people; it extends to Muslims as well. There is a call for those who can reach Muslim-majority regions to connect with the people there — and this is precisely what the House of Blessing is doing.
His servant forever,
Dr. Nibras
***********
I have been told that there is another very important report coming. As soon as I receive it, I will pass the information on. In the meantime, the miracle of Sheikhs Bander and Farhood being raised from their deep comas, has served to bring hundreds of people to faith in Christ, including a large number of Muslim sheikhs. There is intensive training in process, and in spite of the fact that they still lack a printing press to provide Bibles and teaching booklets in Saudi Arabia, those that have memorized the Scriptures and Biblical teaching materials are helping their students to mass-memorize the same so they can reach others with the Gospel. The sheikhs that have accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord refuse to leave Abdelrahem’s presence — practically day and night. They have many questions and are very hungry to learn about their new faith. A few more of the brothers have arrived to help with the teaching. Praise God for all He is doing!
Dr. Nibras has informed me that another load of thousands of teaching booklets have arrived in the northern regions for distribution. These booklets have teachings on Jesus’ true identity, the power of His Blood, Jesus’ Resurrection, varied teachings from Hebrews, and other subjects that have been specially selected for this order. We pray for the safety of the couriers and the safe arrival of the printed materials.
Thank you all for your prayers and support. The need is enormous, as you can imagine, but so are the results! The days left in the Age of Grace are becoming less and less. Jesus is coming SOON!
Forever in His Service,
Jake (aka Jack)
