Preparing For The Soon Coming KING, Part 4

I, like so many other people in America–in fact in the world, watched  the election results come in for an entire day.  There is little disagreement that these results would have the potential of having either positive or dire consequences around the globe.  Now that the elections are once again over, people’s opinions are quite polarized–even in the Christian community.  America has become a major factor for either good or evil the world over. For those that ridicule this thought as something that comes from the mind of a lunatic, one only needs to take a quick read of the facts showing the vast influence in the world, its wealth in natural resources, its vast military power, and so much more.  It is a nation that has been blessed like none other in history–NONE!  Yet, today it is in jeopardy like never before in its history.  In fact, I’ll go further than that.  Barring a great miracle from God, America is doomed to implode and very, very soon.  There isn’t anyone that can really put a date on when this will happen because God in His sovereignty rarely gives man dates like this.  A good example of what people do with what they think are dates “from God”, is when Rev. Camping, not once, but twice gave a specific date when God had the Rapture of the Church scheduled to happen–never mind the fact that Jesus Himself said that NO MAN knows that date, in fact because of the fact that God’s plan had the second member of the triune God entering the human race as He did, even He would not know that date until the Father said it is time.

I have never been one that has a lot of visions or spiritual dreams.  I have however had a handful, especially in the ’90’s.  What He gave me was enough to not only leave me awestruck by what He said, but also leave me with the knowledge that I had heard a sovereign word from the Almighty Himself, and none other.  What He spoke to me was bound to leave me having to deal with most people thinking that I was a loose cannon, or worse–even my friends.  The only comfort I had was the fact that I knew the Old Testament pretty well and because of that, knew what people thought of the Old Testament prophets–or anyone else that felt compelled to speak in God’s Name.  Before anyone thinks that I am feeling sorry for myself, toss the thought!  Anyone receiving something extraordinary like this from God should feel honored to be trusted with His Word!  Think about it–even Jesus was ridiculed in His own home town because they couldn’t accept something from a man that they saw grow up as a just a plain carpenter. Even His own family thought He had a screw loose when they came to retrieve Him, saying that He was “beside Himself”!  This is kind of humorous in light of the fact that Roman Catholicism teaches that Mary the mother of Jesus was the only other one who had never sinned since birth other than Christ.  What would YOU call her questioning His divinity after all those years.  After all, had not the angel Gabriel brought her the message that she was going to bear a child that would result from a pregnancy without a male providing the other half of the genes necessary?  She herself knew she was a virgin!! Did she forget?  Hmmm…  There seems to be a fly in the ointment here.  Roman Catholicism teaches that church tradition is given more authority than the inspired Word of God!  So, either the inspired Word of God was correct in its doctrine that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, or it was not.  If it is, and even Catholic Church tradition teaches so, then Mary must have been guilty of doubting what God told her so many years ago, and sinned by accusing him of being off his rocker a bit at the time this incident happened.  Or, maybe the Biblical account was in error when it gave the details of this incident.  If Church tradition has such a lofty position–to the point of being accepted over and above the authorized and inspired account, then I suspect Catholicism would rather teach that this incident with Mary and her other children never happened.  By the way, this account is given in three of the gospels, Matthew 12:46 and Luke 8:19 specifically mentioning his mother and brothers.

Getting back to the things God showed me in the ’90’s though…I have spoken of this before and shared many of the details and so will try and give a shorter version of what happened.

This part of my story goes back to 1992, at the election when Bill Clinton ran against George H. Bush for president.  I remember the results coming in and the deep disappointment that I felt.  It was not so much a political thing as it was a knowledge that something was desperately wrong.  I remember having a conversation with one of my nephews who lives in Washington State about this and telling him of the great disappointment I felt.  As it turned out, he had experienced the same thing.  Both of us knew that something had gone drastically wrong spiritually.

I remember praying and praying–seemingly to no avail.  Finally God spoke and told me in few words that America had taken a turn, but in the wrong direction.  In my gut, I instinctively knew that it was a 90 degree turn.

Four troubling years went by and then I had the same thing happen again in with the with the election results of 1996.  Once again God spoke to me to tell me America had taken a wrong turn–another 90 degree turn, effectively sending it 180 degrees away from where it should be heading.  This time God added one more detail, and it was a heart-stopper.  He said that America would not turn back!  How could this be with my beloved America?  I am an immigrant that has thanked God most of my life for the privilege of living in such a place as America.

This shocked me; in fact, it left me stunned.  All kinds of scripture came to mind, like II Chronicles 7:14 that says God would respond to His people when they cry out to Him, and He would respond to them, forgive them, and  then heal their land.  What about Your promise God??  Do your promises only apply at certain times::

Actually, the Bible doesn’t hide the fact that there are times when God will refuse to answer prayer.   It is never because God doesn’t want to answer prayer but rather that people have sabotaged themselves.  As incredulous as it seems, God said this in Jeremiah 15:1:  “Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart wold not go out to them!”   I’m not sure if we can even comprehend the depth of that!  That statement by God leaves NO HOPE!

Over the years, I know there have been quite a number of times when I have found myself saying things that God downloaded into my mind that I never would have said if I wasn’t sure it had come from God.  Quite often it has caused undesired results but can any of us really take the chance of disobeying our Master?  Not me.  I have made enough mistakes without adding a big one like that to the mix.  Here’s a scripture that happens to be one of the best which addresses whether we dare not follow through on what it is that God instructs us to do or say.  It is found in Jeremiah 18: 7-11:

“If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.  And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.”

America has had times of great grace from our God–not that it was deserved.  Now we have confirmed more than ever before that we (as a nation) have no intention of following God’s ways and make our decisions based on the delusions the evil one has filled our minds and hearts with.   For most of the populous, this is what has taken control of our decision-making.  This always spells disaster, and at the time of our history as a nation, it will be implosion.  It is not a political issue, it is a spiritual one.  It has nothing to do with which party one is affiliated with, it has to do with whether one has voted by the conscience God gave each of us to use.

I know this is a sticky issue in church because each person has the right to vote as they choose to do so.  I am afraid however that many of the absolutes that the true church of Jesus Christ stands for are being dismantled before our very eyes–and we are the ones letting it happen.  Because this is my private blog-site I feel I can give my opinion whether people agree or not.

I cannot vote for the systematic dismantling of how God designed the family unit. Romans chapter one is coming to pass right before our eyes–and our children and grandkids are being subjected to its poison.  I also cannot vote for a system that has killed somewhere around 50-70 million of our babies since the 70’s–and that does not count the ones paid for by our nation in other countries around the world.  I cannot cast my vote in favor of an administration that is removing God from every institution within our once great nation while allowing every other belief system to have full freedom–including Sharia law which is being slipped in all over our nation.  I won’t go further with this because the list is quite long.  I realize that our two party system has failed us badly on both sides of the aisle, but never has the contrast been so obvious and ominous in its threats of dismantling our nation.  I am afraid that millions of non-thinking Americans have done great harm in thinking with the flesh and their pocketbooks whereas the Christians through their spiritual slumber let the devil pull off a fast one when it was high time to stand up for what is right.  I suspect this was very possibly our last chance to do so in what is left of our republic.

I am reminded of the prophet Elijah on Mt. Carmel.  He confronted the most evil king Israel had ever had.  He had proclaimed 3.5 years ago that there would be no rain in the land until God gave him the word to do so.  When the prophet of God demanded the king, the Israelites, and the prophets of Baal and Ashorah meet him on the mountain, there was little choice if they had any chance of living.  One prophet, 850 false prophets, a very confused and deluded people, and an evil king like none before him–who happened to be married to Jezebel who was worse than he was.  That was the scene.

Without going into the scene which you can read in 1 Kings 18, Elijah told everyone present that they were going to choose for God, or they would choose Baal, but not go from one to the other–or both at the same time as some of them were doing.  When the day was over, there was no question who was God, and the people made a solid decision. This is not something that has been done by the majority of American people today, and as a result, we are in process of losing everything!  What a tragedy.

Yet, God will care for His people.  This however is a time like none other and we truly need to prepare ourselves to meet our KING!  We are fools if this has little importance to us.  Many figure that they are okay because they were baptized sometime in their past. How many are depending on this but have no walking, talking relationship with their God today?  Many quote Romans 8:1:  “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus”, but forget to include the last part of the verse.  The last part says, “…who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.”

I would like to add one verse that is pertinent to this discussion.  It is found in Romans 12:1 & 2.  I would like to type it out as found in the modern day “Message” version.  It says this:  “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you:  Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.  Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.  Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.  Instead fix your attention on God.  You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it.  Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”

I just happened to read on into chapter 13 and found this in verses 11-14: (again in “The Message”)  “But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God.  The night is about over, down is about to break.  Be up and awake to what God is doing!  God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed.  We can’t afford to waste a minute, must not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence, in sleeping around and dissipation, in bickering and grabbing everything in sight.  Get out of bed and get dressed!  Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute.  Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about!”

There are many passages that emphasize the importance of us being engaged in the things that God’s heartbeat is engaged in!  One of these is found in II Peter 1: 3-10.  I won’t type it all out, but please take the time to read what it says.  There are things not to be missed.  In essence it says that we have been given (past tense) all things having to do with life and godliness–meaning everything that has to do with our present physical, secular life, and also everything covering our spiritual needs and requirements.  That bears some deep soul-searching because we are not accustomed to holding ourselves to God’s standards.  We expect Him to adjust His thinking to the way we see things.  How arrogant and narcissistic of us!  If we are guilty of this, we’d better fall on our faces before Him and beg His forgiveness!  He will gladly do so, but hear this:  He will not bend for our immature ways of dealing with our relationship with Him.  He is GOD!

I have been woken up many times lately troubled by these very things and pray that I can get across what God is telling us today.  We have little time left to get things corrected from our way of thinking to God’s way of thinking.  Each of us has effect on way more people than we think.  This is also something God holds us accountable for.  Let’s make the most of what little time we have left and FINISH WELL!

I love you all.  Thanks for reading, and please Keep Looking Up!!  Our God’s eyes never leave us!  Take great comfort in this promise of His.

Please, please keep praying for H.O.B. and ask God for great financial miracles in order to provide many thousands of Bibles!  This is only something God ultimately do, but it is US He asks the sacrifice of.  Do we really think we can outgive the ONE that owns and has created everything???  God responds to acts of faith.  Don’t take a chance of not using what He has blessed you with in this land of plenty!  When it comes to souls, God takes it very personally.  He also is well aware of those that can only give the “Widow’s Mite”.  She gave her all!  THANK YOU all for your prayers and financial gifts.  I know some of you had to sacrifice to share with someone you have never met.  God is quite aware! There is a very special blessing apart from any other in scripture for people like you! Thank you again!
