Normally, I begin with some thoughts of my own to share before sharing the current House of Blessing update. Due to the volume of information I have received in the past three days, I am forgoing my comments and going straight to the House of Blessing. There is a part two to this update that has already been written and will be available tomorrow. I hope you can take the time to read both parts. These accounts are sometimes a little long and a bit hard to read but they are true stories about real people, and in spite of the fact that they are located in another part of the world, through Christ they are our family. They deserve to have us reading their stories.

This message was received from Dr. Nibras on May 2, 2026
Peace be with you, my brother Jack, and with all the friends and followers of Jesus. May all His people glorify His Name. Greetings and peace from all of us believers that belong to the House of Blessing and His work. I am basing my report on our recognition of the prophesied events of the end times, which Jesus has warned us about. Over the past two weeks, I have visited many Christian communities in Syria and Iraq, and even beyond. As you know, Pastor Abdelrahem, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, was able to cross the border into our country (Syria) a few days ago. In fact, the brothers and sisters were all present in their respective locations. All the HOB missionaries are following the guidance of the Holy Spirit to accomplish the work to which they have been called.
I decided to send this report to you, my brother Jack, to share some very important matters of our time — matters which, of course, affect everything the missionaries of the House of Blessing do, and also every true believer in Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
I have spent a long time reflecting on the greatness of what God has accomplished through HOB over the past years. This past week, what a magnificent achievement it was to assemble the newly acquired printing press! What a blessing from the Lord!
It is also a special blessing to see the amazing manifestations of God’s presence with the faithful HOB missionaries — many of whom have now passed into the presence of their Lord and Master, waiting for us to join them. What tragedies! What a heavy price paid by two thousand missionaries (these are just recent numbers), as well as volunteers and new believers who sacrificed their lives to complete their part of the Great Commission! What astonishing miracles! What wonderful divine interventions from Almighty God to support His faithful servants! What financial sacrifices made by people around the world — most of whom had no doubt that what was written in these reports about what is happening in the Middle East is absolutely true. What a gathering of wonderful people God has brought together for this stage of his harvest in these crucial last days! Supporters of HOB are donating and praying, praying, and praying even more!
Many may not remember that the Lord promised us 14 years ago that every copy of the Bible given through the HOB in the Middle East would bear fruit — much fruit indeed! Isn’t this what we have seen happen? Thousands of martyrs from the House of Blessing have been faithful in their calling to reach hundreds of thousands of Muslims who are today followers and worshippers of Jesus Christ, the long-awaited Messiah! These believers are spread first throughout northern Jordan, and then Syria, Iraq, Kurdistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Praise be to God! The statistics are not important in themselves, but they represent every soul that has entered the Kingdom of God. God is what matters! And this number is greater than anyone could imagine. All glory to Him who died and rose from the dead, and who is sealed at the right hand of the Father today!
I ask you all to continue your prayers and support. The needs are immense. The number of believers in the Middle East today is far greater than many realize. There is a great need for copies of the Bible, as well as other supplies that HOB uses to help those in need around it. God always uses this demonstrated love as a means to show His great love. Thank you all.
In conclusion, I urge everyone to remember that the Lord’s return is imminent. We are at the end of the age of grace. We are the generation that will be interrupted by the Great Trumpet blast and the Voice of our God calling us into His presence. Knowing this, let us make worldly matters less important and focus on the work of God’s kingdom and our imminent entry into the inheritance of God’s saints, which our Lord and Master, the Prince of Peace, has promised us. May the Lord bless you.
Your brother,
Dr. Nibras, servant of the Lord and His work

I received a second report from Dr. Nibras on May 4, 2026
Peace be with you, brother Jack, and with all the followers of Jesus. After a long conversation with Pastor Abdelrahem of the House of Blessing, and during my spiritual reflection today, I came across a verse from the Bible that accurately describes the feelings of many believers in the West who follow, financially support, and pray for HOB and its missionaries. This verse is found in 1 Thessalonians 2:13:
For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the church in Thessalonica, a church that was eager to hear what Paul had to say and gladly opened its hearts to the truths he was preaching, which he was hearing from the Holy Spirit. This verse resonates with the thousands of new believers who have joined the large community of believers and followers of Jesus Christ in the Middle East, to whom HOB’s message has reached.
A week has passed since the printing press, a gift from the Lord, was put into operation and now the evangelization campaign has begun this month before Eid al-Adha. Efforts are currently underway to attract as many new converts as possible to Bible study groups to strengthen their faith. Those leading the campaign, particularly in the areas served by Omar, Shahbandar, Ayloout, Ma’touq, Sami, Musa, and their associates in the Iran region, hope to provide four weeks or more of intensive training. Reports indicate that tens of thousands of people are hoping to attend these groups.
Over the past year and a half, the Lord has blessed HOB with numerous opportunities to gather large numbers of believers for special instruction sessions. However, the training of new believers has been most effective when small groups of people meet under the guidance of two or three teachers. The days are often long and the sessions intensive, but the results are remarkable. Omar, Shahbandar, Durgham, Murtada, Ma’touq, Aylout, Sheikh Dari, and Malih are among a group of men who have given intensive training through HOB’s School of Ministry. Thanks to these men and the many others they trained, tens of thousands of souls have been reached in the past year and now in the current year.
With the changing circumstances in the Middle East, Pastor Abdelrahem and the missionaries of the House of Blessing he oversees are adapting to ensure the continuation of their missionary work. The fruits of their labor must be reaped, for time is running out. Among the impending prophetic events is the complete destruction of Damascus and its surrounding areas. Some believe this event has already occurred, but history proves otherwise. Damascus has been attacked and besieged many times throughout history, but it has never been utterly destroyed. Even today, despite the immense damage inflicted upon the city, it has not yet been annihilated as the scriptures foretold. Because this event is imminent, it is fitting to quote a small portion of the scriptures that describe this destruction. God did not warn us of this event for us to ignore. Isaiah chapter 17 describes the future of Damascus, but I will only mention verses 1 and 14.
1The burden against Damascus. Behold Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap … 14Then behold, at eventide, trouble! And before the morning, he is no more. This is the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who rob us.
The prophet Jeremiah also spoke of the coming destruction of this great city:
23Against Damascus. “Hamath and Arpad are shamed, for they have heard bad news. They are fainthearted; there is trouble on the sea; it cannot be quiet. 24Damascus has grown feeble; she turns to flee, and fear has seized her. Anguish and sorrows have taken her like a woman in labor” … 26 “Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day,” says the LORD of hosts. 27“I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Ben-Hadad.” Jeremiah 49:23-24, 26-27
The prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah describe the total destruction of the city of Damascus. Part of the attack appears to come from the sea, and all its warriors will be destroyed on that day. Isaiah describes this destruction as occurring in a single day, between sunset and dawn. Scripture also points to Israel’s involvement in this destruction. And today, Israel is being drawn more and more into the conflicts in Syria. Could this be a warning? I think so. Of course, there are many other aspects to this prophetic image, but I won’t elaborate further in this brief update.
The men trained by Pastor Abdelrahem were able to lead several thousand people in prayer of repentance last week. They, like others, were baptized. The missionaries usually go out in groups of three to minister to the crowds. During the same period, Ikhlas and her group ministered to several thousand. As for the number of those who worshipped Jesus Christ, I have no count; it is beyond comprehension.
In conclusion, I pray that God will give you a glimpse into the reality of what is happening through the ministry of the House of Blessing in the Middle East. Ten thousand here, twenty or thirty thousand elsewhere, and more than fifty or one hundred thousand in yet another place. Do not see these as mere statistics, but as individual souls touched by the Lord, whose eternal destiny has been turned upside down! Pray for these people, whether they are missionaries or new believers. And if the Lord inspires you to help them, do not ignore His inspiration. We are not asking for donations from anyone.
As I conclude this update, I want to thank everyone who prays for and supports the House of blessing while the opportunity is still available. Jesus said, “I must do the works of Him who sent me while it is day, because night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4). If night falls tomorrow, will we have done what the Lord asks of us? I pray that we will. Let me conclude with a verse from the Epistle to the Ephesians.
14Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” 15See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:14-17

I received a third email with more disturbing news that some of you might already be aware of. This is what Dr. Nibras had to say on May 4, 2026.
Brother Jack, I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but this is our fate. Jesus warned us about all of this. I have a short request for prayer. The leadership and missionaries of the House of Blessing are in dire need of your prayers. Several of the HOB missionary leaders were attacked by Musliim extremists, whom I believe were of the Shia sect. They opened fire, killing 79 of them. Brothers; Aylout, Ma’touq, Omar, and Durgham were also shot but are still alive. Fifteen other female leaders, including Sister Ikhlas, Judge Hamoush’s widow, were also severely injured in the attack and are in need of God’s healing.
I just received the details through a call from Pastor Abdelrahem and will share them very soon.
Please pray for HOB. Most of those involved in this horrific attack left families behind. Although we as believers don’t grieve in the same way as others, it is still very painful. And although HOB has experienced such losses many times before, this shock is still devastating. It is a great loss to lose such great leaders, men of God who impacted the lives of tens of thousands. Reorganizing the leadership will not be easy, but God will grant us the wisdom to continue the work of guiding those who have gone astray and seek to extinguish the blight of Christ.
Your brother and servant of the Lord,
Dr. Nibras

What has not been mentioned in today’s update, is that the four men, Aylout (91 or 92 years old), Ma’touq, Omar, and Durgham took bullets to the chest. The bullets exited their backs and they lost a lot of blood and were in critical condition. Dr. Nibras was able to call some surgeons that he trusted in the area where the men are located and directed them to take the men into surgery and arrange for them to be monitored. If I understand correctly, they are in medically induced comas. I was told they are in a secure location. Sister Ikhlas and the women who were attacked along with her are also being taken care of. Ikhlas was severely stabbed numerous times and really needs prayer, as do the other women, and of course the four men.
Thank you for your support and your prayers. We are racing to the finish line. Jesus is coming!! Please watch for part two of this update. It is full of additional information. Thank you all.
Forever in His Service,
Jake (aka Jack)
