Special Middle East Update, Feb. 25, 2014

This special Middle East update gives an accurate view of what the life of a Christian pastor is like in Syria. It also shows how brutal Islam is toward anyone who believes differently, especially Christians. There are martyrs for their faith in Jesus every single day, but Jesus is about to call His own home, and very, very soon. We must be prepared, it was Jesus command to His true followers. The door to the ark is about to shut!

Intimacy With God, Part 3

As is typical for our time, it is too easy to go through all the motions of going to church, drop some dollars into the offering, be pious for the songs, worship, and even the sermon. Then we go home and forget that our intimate walk with God still much be #1 in our lives or we’re completely missing the boat. We’re right at the end of the age and need to be as close to our Lord as possible. He’s about to call us home. We must be about our Father’s business. We also need to finish well!

JERUSALEM UPDATE, January 31, 2014

The work in the Middle East by House Of Blessing has gone beyond anything anyone could have imagined. What God has done is stupendous. More souls have been reached in 22 months than have reportedly been slaughtered in Syria’s 3 year civil war! These are souls that will spend an eternity in the presence of their Creator! What a story it is!

The Walk of Intimacy With God, Part 1

In the days we live in, it is more important than ever to develop an intimate walk with God–not just a shallow “Now I lay me down to sleep” prayer, or even “Grace” at a meal, but a genuine walk with God. That is the only thing that is going to help us to navigate the days ahead.

The Conflict of Faith and Works, Part 9

Many times in our Christian walk we go after the “deep things of God” and in the process misstep on some of the most obvious things having to do with a committed Christian life. Jesus talked about some of these things in the Sermon on the Mount. This article is discussing some of these very things.

The Controversy of Faith and Works, Part 8

The Parable of the Sower shows four categories of people in relation to how they hear and receive God’s Word. Many don’t come to hear, others have lives clogged up with too many distractions and cares to hear and apply, others are going through very difficult times and can’t find their bearing. But then there are those that hear, understand, and apply God’s Word. They bring fruit, 30-fold, 60-fold, or 100-fold.

Controversy of Faith and Works, Part 5

The parable of the ten virgins might have more spiritual depth of meaning than many give it credit for. It is easy to pass off some of the details in Jesus’ parables and say that the details aren’t all that important because they are only parables. I don’t believe this and through this series of articles am trying to show this. Even salvation is absolutely free, there are still requirements that God has placed upon our living upon this earth. We tend to forget that this is the training ground and we are just passing through.

The Controversy of Faith and Works, Part 4

It is a hard thing for many of us to realize that some of our traditional teachings do not cover the whole truth being conveyed in God’s Word. This is of course also a common line used by many cultists and so I would encourage the reader to check these things out for yourself before accepting “truths” from anyone. It must be confirmed in the Word of God. Often it is of great value to research the original usage of words so that the true meaning is understood. This often casts a bit of light on the subject not seen before. This is the case with many of the things that Jesus said, particularly in His parables.

The Controversy of “Faith and Works”, Part 3

The parable of the ten talents found in Matthew’s Gospel has had controversy over what was said to the third servant. When he was rebuked and tossed out into “outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth”, was that hell? Was it the lake of fire? Some might find it controversial, but could there be a third possibility not often thought of due to traditional teachings? It’s worth looking into??

JERUSALEM UPDATE: September 18, 2013

There are many missionary organizations around the world, most of them however being “nameless”, due to having to work underground. House Of Blessing, City Of Jesus Ministry, is one of these “nameless” ones. Access to financial help, and prayer from those around the world is dependent upon outsiders who are acquainted with the work being done. This is the case with these “Jerusalem Updates” which have been uploaded for the last 17 months after a personal trip to Jerusalem in March of 2012. This is a ministry that is legitimate, and very, very effective. Tens of thousands have found Jesus Christ the Messiah in the midst of desperate times. God has met them and loved them into His family. Please make yourselves available to this continuing amazing, miraculous story. It is still being written…
